PURPOSE

Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for God’s glory.

- 1 Corinthians 10:31

This verse can be applied to any ministry and should be applied to every believer's life. The glory of God is the motivation behind everything we do at Lifepoint Students.

The goals for Lifepoint Students Youth Ministry are as follows.

First and foremost, that they would see all of their actions as a simple fork in the road. They have two options on the shelf, pleasing God or pleasing self. We encourage teens to use 1 Corinthians 10:31 and choose to glorify God daily.

Second, they would hold God's Word in high regard. We at Lifepoint believe God's Word is sufficient, inerrant, and our source of truth. We encourage the teens through expository preaching and discipleship, to view all of God's Words are not only true, but profitable for teaching, correcting, rebuking, training, and equipping for all things of life. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Third, the worship of God is important. Whether that is in the bedroom, car, or sanctuary. That they would not forsake the meeting together but instead look forward to lifting songs of praise to God together as the body, worshiping Him for who He is and all He has done.   Hebrews 10:24-25 and Psalm 95, 100

Fourth, doing life together is part of the package. Isolation results in spiritual starvation for the Christian. We are commanded by Scripture to love our neighbor as ourselves, and that means things will get messy. Do not run when relationships with others get hard, but roll up their sleeves and do the work of loving others as Christ did for them. Galatians 6:1-5

Lastly, keep asking questions. Faith is a key component of Christianity, but God does not call us to a blind faith. God does not expect us to bypass difficult questions and ignore hard circumstances that may arise throughout our lives. God reveals in His Scriptures answers to life's hard questions. He shows why bad things happen to good people, what the meaning of life is, and why Jesus is the only way. God gives us the information we need to know to be confident and have faith in God's good and perfect character. This is why we encourage our teens to never give up on the pursuit of knowledge. It is a good virtue when you endeavor to know more about your Creator! We encourage teens to look at the task of understanding our world through the lens of the gospel, not as a chore to be done and then forgotten about shortly after, but as a beautiful privilege and blessing revealing truth and meaning in our lives resulting in freedom.  1 Peter 3:13-17 and 1 Peter 2:2-3
